Der 43AH ist ein Ohrsimulator bestehend aus dem ITU-T Rec. P57 Typ 2 Ohrsimulator und Typ 3.2 vereinfachten "Low-leak"-Ohrsimulator. Er wurde entwickelt für standardisierte ITU-T Messungen an Telefon-Handsets, Empfängern und Receivern/Lautsprechern-Modulen (production line testing).
